Congratulations on the next step towards your black belt journey!
This is a monumental moment in your training. You have already put in the hard work in your
foundation training. Now is the time where you will be mastering your skills towards your
First Degree Black Belt.
Being a Junior Black Belt is a commitment to excellence. This is your opportunity to set goals
and to work towards that goal. As well as, carry out that plan to achieve your goal!
During your Junior Black Belt training, you need to achieve three white stripes, in order to qualify
for First Degree Black Belt:
FIRST STRIPE
SECOND STRIPE
THIRD STRIPE
KICKING & FORM
BREAKING TECHNIQUE
SPARRING TECHNIQUE
IN ORDER TO BE PROMOTED TO FIRST DEGREE BLACK BELT
YOU MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS (IN ADDITION TO THE THREE WHITE STRIPES):
REQUIREMENT #1: FIRST DEGREE BLACK BELT APPLICATION
REQUIREMENT #2 : BLACK BELT ESSAY GUIDELINE
This is your opportunity to tell us something about you, your life, or your goals. It is also an opportunity to express appreciation to those who have helped you along the way. You will be reading this essay aloud during your scheduled First Degree Black Belt Ceremony. We will also be posting the essay on our website.
