JUNE 2020
Meet David Steele.
He is 7 years old and a junior black belt.

David saw his big brother, Ben, doing Taekwondo.
It looked like so much fun, he wanted to discover
it for himself.
Completing the test was my biggest obstacle
in obtaining my junior black. I was nervous about breaking
all fo the boards and performing the forms properly.
Doing Taekwondo helped me to become stronger and quicker.

I have gained confidence and do not get down on myself
or give up when I have to do something multiple times
to get it right. I will keep going until I completed my task.
I am most proud of completing all of the breaking techniques to
earn my junior black belt. I even broke a couple of the bigger boards!

When asked what advice would he give to a new student.
David said:
"Have lots of fun. Do your best. Listen to Master Yoon. Help each other."

David would like to be an engineer,
teach piano, and be a ninja when he grows up.
What motivates David to work hard is to become stronger and quicker and being able to do things that I didn't think I could do.

Finding good teachers to learn from, listening to them and challenging yourself to continue to learn will help me achieve my goals.
