Black Belt Reflections
KIMBERLY PATON
"I wanted to set a new goal for myself and was searching for different types of activities. I considered learning the piano, Spanish, or dance; but nothing excited me. Then my daughter's classmate, Kate, told me that she was a Black Belt.... I was hesitant to try but decided to call Master Yoon to see if he thought I would still be capable of studying Taekwondo and becoming a black belt... Master Yoon was confident that I could attain my goal and he inspired confidence in me."

"Taekwondo improved my life. I feel proud and confident. Feeling proud
is a good thing it can make you a try hard when you do something great. There can be some stuff that can be very hard at first but after class the very next day I practice, and if I keep on practicing I’m probably going to nail it."

"One of my main sources of inspiration and encouragement was
Master Yoon. He has a calm and cool demeanor which makes me feel relaxed. Learning Taekwondo was one of the most endearing experience
of my life. It has taught me to respect others, patience and perseverance."

RAYAAN KHAN
"I started Taekwondo when I was six years old. I wanted to gain physical strength, confidence and make some new friends. Taekwondo helped me to gain self-confidence in almost everything! It helped me in a lot of things, like boosting my self-esteem and achieving better discipline in life."

IAN NEMETS
"Taekwondo forced me to learn to focus on the task at hand, because if my mind wandered I would end up unable to break a board. It also improved my self discipline, and I found myself treating my parents and teachers with the respect they deserve. Doing Taekwondo had me persevere through many challenges and stay determined throughout the entire time."
