FEBRUARY 2019
Hi, my name is Asenath Arshynova.
I am ten years old.
I received my black belt on December 9, 2017.
This is my Taekwondo Story.

Asenath started taekwondo on January 1, 2014.
She came to us with no prior experience.

Asenath started her journey with taekwondo to have
an outlet for her energy. Taekwondo was a perfect match.

One of the obstacles she had to overcome
to obtain her current belt level
I had to learn to respect people.
Through her taekwondo training, Asenath gained self-confidence.
She began noticing changes to how she approached
challenges and obstacles; she now approaches challenges
by first thinking before doing.

When asked if she had noticed any changes in how she
reacts to a challenging situation, Asenath responded:

“I stay calm when something is hard and challenging.”

The advice Asenath would you give a new student is to
“Stay calm when there is a task at hand."

What advice would she give her younger self and older self?
“That you must learn how to cooperate with other people."
Asenath would like to be a teacher when she grows up.
Taekwondo will help Asenath learn how to teach children.
